Hi Friends,
I had surgery on Tuesday, 8.20.19, in the morning and I have been doing well since then.
I spoke with the suregon this morning and he was able to get very clear margins during my surgery. We should learn more about whether or not I qualify for the clinical trial. I should start chemotherapy within 3 weeks.
I started PT today which means learning to walk around on my crutches and doing stretches. I have been doing well with this and have already been able to make several laps around my unit.
Prayers
- Pain to go away
- Increased mobility
- I qualify for the clinical trial
- Emotional adjustment to my new normal
I want abs, not cancer

Melissa, have lifted you and your family up to the Lord since I read news of your needed surgery. May the Lord surround you with only the peace and comfort he can provide. You are strong and courageous and the battle is his. Thank you for fighting, you are a rock star! Holding on to him with you.
